Calex Mfg. Co. Inc. in Concord Calif., is introducing the Model 2.5.750 a low-noise linear power supply suited for use as a dual 5-volt rail source and other harsh-environment applications. The power electronics device has an output of plus-or-minus volts DC at 750 milliamps, can be powered by 100, 115, 220, 230 or 240 volts AC, and offers tight regulation, low noise, and stability. The power supply has a voltage accuracy of plus-or-minus 1 percent, line and load regulation of plus-or-minus 0.1 percent, noise and ripple is 1 millivolt RMS, and input frequency range of 50 to 60 Hz. The 2.5.750 is housed in a 2.5-by-3.5-by-1.56-inch case encapsulated with an epoxy potting compound for use in harsh environments. The case operating temperature range is -25 to 50 degrees Celsius. Chassis mounting kits are available for applications requiring screw terminal connections.
