RUGGED TABLETS: Rugged tablet PC computer introduced by Industrial Computing

Industrial Computing in Waltham, Mass., is introducing its Rugged Tablet PCs for a range of applications and requirements.

Models range from a low-cost, IP54-compliant, 7-inch model with low-power consumption to 8- and 10-inch industrial and military models meeting MIL-STD 810F. All models can be configured or redesigned to meet specific OEM requirements, officials say. All models have sunlight-readable screens. Certain models have programmable keys, and one model offers a 64-key keyboard. Ultra low power consumption enables battery life up to nine hours. Also available is a hot-swappable dual battery model for extended use in the field.
