EMBEDDED COMPUTING: Connect Tech introduces line of fanless embedded computers

Connect Tech Inc., a provider of connectivity solutions for embedded and industrial applications, has launched a new line of fanless embedded computers. Connect Tech's PAR series of fanless PCs are designed with processor solutions from Intel and AMD, including Intel Atom N270, Intel Atom Dual-Core D510, Intel Core i3/i5/i7, and AMD LX800. The compact, high-performance fanless systems are designed to offer low power consumption, a wide operating temperature range, and anti-vibration and shock-resistant features that allow operation under harsh environmental conditions.

PAR products provide versatile I/Os with VGA/DVI/LVDS video output, Ethernet, USB 2.0, up to four COM ports, PS/2 connector for keyboard/mouse, and a DC power input range from 9V to 32V. Additional features include PCI-104, PCI-32, Mini-PCI, and PCIe expansion capabilities; a scalable performance range from Intel and AMD, including Intel Atom N270, Intel Atom Dual-Core D510, Intel Core i3/i5/i7, and AMD LX800; aluminum chassis that can be mounted to a variety of surfaces; anti-shock/vibration; wide operating temperature range; wide power input range; a fanless, noise-free design; multiple video ports; LAN connectivity, serial ports, and USB ports; and PCI-104, PCI-32, Mini-PCI, and PCIe expansion capabilities.
