Stealth Computer Inc. in San Jose, Calif., is introducing the WPC-525F fanless rugged waterproof PC for applications in which ordinary computers will not survive, Stealth officials say. The WPC-525F rugged computer is designed to survive liquid, chemical, dust, and dirt intrusion and meets IP67/NEMA 6 environmental specifications.
The rugged computer has no cooling fans; the internal microprocessor is passively cooled. The rugged PC's chassis measures 10.15 inches wide by 6.22 inches deep by 2.04 inches high. Powering the computer is the Intel's D525 1.8 GHz dual-core microprocessor and solid-state drives that can withstand extremes in temperature, vibration, shock, and humidity, as well as high altitudes.
