ENCLOSURES AND CHASSIS: Recessed-subrack enclosures by Pixus to protect cards from shock and EMI

Pixus Technologies in Waterloo, Ontario, is introducing rugged enclosures with the subrack recessed within the enclosure frame for additional protection, including electro-magnetic compatibility (EMC) considerations.

Versions for 3U pluggable embedded computing boards in a 4U overall height also are available. Backplanes are available in OpenVPX, CompactPCI/2.16, PCI Express Gen2 or Gen3, VME64x, VXS, or custom. The enclosure option can be recessed in various depths to protect the subrack and boards, limiting exposure to dust and reducing the susceptibility of electro-magnetic interference (EMI) and radio-frequency interference (RFI). Front-to-rear or bottom-to-top cooling options are standard.
