Army chooses rugged laptop computers and removable disk drives from Transource

REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala., 18 March 2012. U.S. Army officials needed ruggedized laptop computers and removable hard disk drives for their troops in the field. They found their solution from Transource Services Corp. in Phoenix.

REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala., 18 March 2012. U.S. Army officials needed laptop rugged computers and removable hard disk drives for their troops in the field. They found their solution from Transource Services Corp. in Phoenix.

The Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal, Ala., awarded Transource a $11.6 million contract modification Friday to procure rugged laptop computers and removable hard disk drives.

Transource makes a variety of rugged laptop computers, such as the RLC-3G with a 1.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo microprocessor and 15.4-inch display.
