Satellite communications for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division's Special Communications Requirements Division (SCRD), which officials of the National Guard Bureau in Arlington, Va., have asked to install, test and evaluate the SATCOM-on-the-move technologies for the National Guard's advanced liaison response vehicle.

General Dynamics X, Ku, and Ka-band SATCOM-on-the-move terminals provide voice and data wideband satellite communications from vehicles in motion over rugged terrain.

The full-motion SATCOM-on-the-move (SOTM) terminals can be deployed on a variety of on-road and off-road military and commercial vehicles via the General Dynamics Above-the-Deck flush mount design.

The interoperable, joint service terminals have been used in demanding off-road combat conditions and are deployed today in theaters of operation worldwide, General Dynamics officials say.
