75 Watt triple-output DC-DC converters in half-brick packages introduced by Calex

CONCORD, Calif., 27 Oct. 2013. Calex Mfg. Co. Inc. of Concord Calif., is introducing the 75 Watt triple-output HE series DC-DC converters in industry-standard half-brick packages that operate in temperatures from 040 to 100 degrees Celsius.

The power electronics modules provide three regulated DC outputs. All models are isolated input to output with output voltages of 3.3 volts DC and 5 volts DC on the primary and +/-12, +/-15 and +/-17 volts DC on the secondary outputs.

The HE series is available in RoHS and non-RoHS, and has switching frequency is fixed at 325 kHz. Efficiencies are as high as 89 percent. All models are protected by pulse-by-pulse current limiting, over-temperature protection, and over-voltage protection.

ON/OFF is available for energy saving operation. The OFF idle current of the HE is 2 milliamps. Trim also is available with a +/-10 percent trim range. Two input ranges are available with the HE Triple output converters, 18 to 36 volts DC and 36 to 75 volts DC.
