SAN DIEGO, 16 Feb. 2014. TDK Lambda Americas Corp. in San Diego is introducing the PH-A280 series of DC-DC power electronics modules with high voltage DC input for industrial applications, smart city, test and measurement, and plant-related equipment.

These quarter-brick DC-DC converter power supply modules operate from a wide range DC input of 200 to 425 volts DC, and are for air- or conduction-cooled systems.

The PH-A280 power modules are available in four output power levels of 50, 75, 100, and 150 Watts. Nominal output voltages consist of 5, 12, 24 volts or 48 volts DC; adjustable by -20 percent to +10 percent (+/-20 percent for 5 volts output models). Efficiencies to 90 percent are achieved, an improvement of 5 percent over the prior series.

The modules can operate at full load over a baseplate temperature range of -40 to 100 degrees Celsius. The dimensions follow the industry standard quarter brick format of 37.2 by 12.7 by 58.3 millimeters.

As standard, the PH-A280 units are equipped with remote sense, remote on/off, and overvoltage and overcurrent protection circuitry. All models have an input-to-output isolation of 3 kilovolts AC, are safety-approved to UL/CSA/EN60950-1 and carry the CE mark in accordance with the LV Directive.
