Rugged Intel-based PCI Express single-board computer for industrial control offered by ADL

ADL Embedded Solutions Inc. in San Diego is introducing the ADLE3800HD PCI Express 3.5-inch single-board computer for rugged, extended temperature embedded applications such as industrial control and automation, in-vehicle fleet communication or infotainment systems for transportation systems.

ADL Embedded Solutions Inc. in San Diego is introducing the ADLE3800HD PCI Express 3.5-inch single-board computer for rugged, extended temperature embedded computing applications such as industrial control and automation, in-vehicle fleet communication or infotainment systems for transportation systems.

The ADLE3800HD is based on the Intel first system-on-chip (SoC) E3800 Atom microprocessor, which is built using the Intel 22-nanometer 3D Tri-gate process. It offers the Intel 7th generation graphics engine and improved power management. Dual- and quad-core variants are available.

The ADLE3800HD graphics engine is capable of decoding 10 or more streams of 1080-pixel video, has integrated hardware acceleration for video decode of H.264, MVC, VPG8, VC1/WMV9, and others standards. It also supports DirectX 11, Open GL 4.0, full HD video playback, and a maximum resolution of 2560 by 1600 pixels at 60 Hz with dual-display support.

The ADLE3800HD also operates in temperatures from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius that lends the computer board to rugged mobile computing, digital signage with secure content delivery, portable medical devices, interactive kiosks, vending, ATM, and point-of-sale terminals.
