BLUE BELL, Pa., 23 April 2014. MEN Micro Inc. in Blue Bell, Pa., is introducing the MH70I modular, rugged PC for industrial automation and in-vehicle embedded computing applications.

The rugged computer is configurable with standard hardware, software, and accessories. It combines scalable computing and graphics functions, and has pre-installed software support for Windows Embedded Standard 7.

The MH70I combines a system slot with two each of CompactPCI and CompactPCI Serial peripheral slots and two each of PCI and PCI Express slots, totaling nine individually configurable slots. Two additional PSU slots support AC, DC, and UPS.

The unit's compact half 19-inch rack size enables users to place two systems on one rack side by side. The MH70I can be rack- or wall-mounted with natural convection cooling or with an added fan tray at the bottom of the system.

The standard configuration of the MH70I comes with MEN Micro's F22P CompactPCI PlusIO single-board computer using an Intel Core i7 or Celeron processor with one VGA Interface, two USB ports, and two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces on the front. It also includes as much as 16 gigabytes of DDR3 DRAM with ECC.

The MH70I includes analog or binary I/O via M-Modules, fieldbus functions, SATA hard disks or wireless functions as well as Ethernet interface boards or Ethernet switches. A SATA RAID with as many as four hard-disk-drive shuttles can be built using the CompactPCI Serial slots.
