MOUNT OLIVE, N.J., 17 June 2014. Integrated Microwave Technologies LLC (IMT) in Mount Olive, N.J., is introducing the DropCam Tx-II/Mini MobilCMDR video camera, transmitter, and receiver kit for rapid deployment and tactical surveillance.

The DropCam Tx-II/Mini MobilCMDR video camera, transmitter, and receiver kit is a rapid-deployment video and audio solution that includes the DropCam Tx-II Transmitter with integrated camera and microphone, along with IMT's Mini MobilCMDR receiver and monitor.

It uses COFDM digital RF transmission, enabling non-line-of-sight performance in buildings, culverts, and urban environments, giving users a level of performance that is unattainable with conventional analog or 802.11 (Wi-Fi) products.

IMT's DropCam Tx-II HD transmitter is a small, ruggedized COFDM transmitter with integrated camera and microphone, housed in an IP66-rated enclosure. This next-generation product comes with an assortment of removable sensor modules, making it even more versatile.

Depending on the application, a user may choose an SD or HD video module. The SD module has an integrated low-light swivel camera combined with an infrared LED and high-dynamic microphone.

HD cameras have a wider field of view and won't sacrifice resolution when the user is digitally zooming into a region of interest. The HD sensor modules are also available with a quad video matrix option. The transmitter also features a new optional internal edge video recorder for offline analysis.

The user can download the video via a USB connection. The DropCam Tx-II's lightweight and rugged design features a three-hour runtime with a robust range exceeding one mile.

IMT's Mini MobilCMDR is a small, ruggedized IP54-rated COFDM (DVB-T-compliant) diversity handheld receiver and monitor that offers RF performance and durability, ease of operation, and H.264 and MPEG2/4 decoding.

Weighing less than three pounds, the unit, a miniature version of IMT's full-size MobilCMDR, displays COFDM video transmissions on a five-inch integrated bright-daylight, high-resolution LCD screen.

In addition, the unit features an HDMI output, which allows users to output the video on any large screen that has HDMI connection, including most off-the-shelf TV screens. The run time for internal batteries is more than two hours and can be extended with a small, lightweight clip-on external battery. The Mini MobilCMDR also features a 32-gigabyte internal storage record capability.
