2U rack-mounted hardware platform for network service applications introduced by WIN

WIN Enterprises Inc. in North Andover, Mass., is introducing the PL-10480 2U rack-mounted hardware platform for network service applications like unified threat management, enterprise network firewalls, application delivery controllers, WAN optimization control, and intrusion prevention.

WIN Enterprises Inc. in North Andover, Mass., is introducing the PL-10480 2U rackmount hardware platform for network service applications like unified threat management, enterprise network firewalls, application delivery controllers, WAN optimization control, and intrusion prevention.

The PL-10480 supports the 22-nanometer Haswell Intel Core i3/i5/i7 or E3-1200V3 processors and uses the Intel extended-life Embedded IA versions of these components to enable long OEM product life.

The device supports a maximum of 32 gigabytes DDR3 1333/1600 MHz system memory, and a maximum 48x Gigabit Ethernet LAN copper/fiber ports.

The 2U platform supports four un-buffered and non-ECC DDR3 1333/1600 MHz DIMM sockets with a maximum capacity of 32 gigabytes. To provide the best network performance and use, storage interfaces include one 2.5-inch SATA hard disk drive and CompactFlash.

The PL-10480 supports one PCI Express x4 expansion slot and comes standard with 2 Gigabit Ethernet LAN expandable to a maximum of 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports accessible from the front-panel.

The front panel also has one USB 2.0 port, one RJ-45 console port and LED indicators that monitor power and storage device activities for local system management, maintenance and diagnostics. The PL-10480 is RoHS, FCC and CE compliant.
