NORTH ANDOVER, Mass., 21 Aug. 2014. WIN Enterprises Inc. in North Andover, Mass., is introducing the PL-80540 3U networking platform for unified threat management (UTM), cluster computing, and web hosting.

The embedded computing device has as many as 12 hot-pluggable blades powered by Intel Xeon E3 12xx series processors that deliver clock speeds of 3.2 GHz or 3.4 GHz.

The networking device has 2x 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP, 2x Gigabit Ethernet SFP and 2x Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 standard LAN, as well as room for expansion modules for an additional 6x 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP and additional 16x Gigabit Ethernet copper/fiber LANs.

The hot-swappable blades enable the OEM to scale from moderate- to high-density server solutions for a variety of networking tasks. The unit has redundant power and provides four hot-swappable fans with speed control.

Features include as much as 32 gigabytes Dual-channel DDR3 1066/1333 MHz system memory; redundant 80 plus platinum level power supplies; and an optional IPMI remote management interface.
