SIMI VALLEY, Calif., 20 Oct. 2014. Innovative Integration in Simi Valley, Calif., is introducing the ePC-Duo user-customizable, turnkey embedded instrument for distributed data acquisition and mobile instrumentation applications.

The ePC-Duo includes a Windows/Linux PC and supports a wide assortment of XMC modules. With its modular I/O, scalable performance, and ease of use, the ePC- Duo reduces time-to-market and strong performance, company officials say.

Put the ePC-Duo at the data source and reduce system errors and complexity. Optional GPS-synchronized timing, triggering and sample control is available for remote IO. Expansion is available via multiple nodes and as many as 4 HDD/4 TB for data logging.

The device has dual XMC sites for I/O, user programmable Xilinx FPGA for I/O interfaces, triggering and timing control, USB ports. Analog I/O ranges from complex 4 gigasamples per second IF receivers down to 12-channel, 200 kilosamples per second servo controllers.

It has continuous data streaming as quickly as 2000 megabytes per second (quad local SSDs or dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet LAN), as well as optional, stand-alone, autonomous operation with GPS or network-synchronized sampling.

The device offers support for solid-state boot drives in a rugged 250-by-195-millimeter footprint. Eight-to-36-volt DC-only operation is suitable for portable wireless surveillance, radar/lidar, high-speed data loggers or waveform generators.
