BOHEMIA, N.Y., 3 Dec. 2014. Data Device Corp. in Bohemia, N.Y., is introducing the DD-40001H060 ARINC 429 and ARINC 717 Mini PCI Express avionics databus board for a variety of commercial aviation and business aviation avionics applications.

The DD-40001H060 offers the functionality of DDC's full-sized ARINC 429/717 embedded computing boards, and offers six ARINC 429/717 channels and DDC's ARINC 429 Multi-I/O AceXtreme architecture, with programmable transmission speeds and error injection.

The first 2 ARINC 429 channels can be programmed to be ARINC 717, allowing flexibility to communicate with digital flight data acquisition units and digital flight data recorders.

The board also offers two types of I/O connectors, which enables the user to select the best connector for each application. The board is suitable for both embedded and portable applications, offers a common test and embedded API for rapid prototyping, and DMA engine enables ultra low CPU and PCI/PCI Express utilization of the host system.

"Now, with the DD-40001H060 Mini PCI Express board, up to six ARINC 429/717 channels can easily be added to any compact embedded system, laptop, or tablet computer, to provide a rugged and reliable ARINC 429/717 bus interface," says Greg Tiedemann, DDC's data bus boards director.
