Sabtech changes name to IXI Technology to reflect focus on military and industrial networking

Executives of Sabtech Industries in Yorba Linda, Calif., a specialist in the Naval Tactical Data System (NTDS) and other military networking, are changing their company's name to IXI Technology to reflect a strategic approach to advanced technology and a focus on new industrial markets.
YORBA LINDA, Calif., 11 Feb. 2015. Executives of Sabtech Industries in Yorba Linda, Calif., a specialist in the Naval Tactical Data System (NTDS) and other military networking, are changing their company's name to IXI Technology to reflect a strategic approach to advanced technology and a focus on new industrial markets.

IXI while under the Sabtech banner specialized in tactical data communications solutions for military and government agencies. Now as IXI the company is expanding into industrial applications by capitalizing on the company's specialized interface boards, rugged computer systems, and test equipment.

"We continue to focus on advanced communications technology, exceptional customer service, on-time delivery for the U.S. military and its allies," says Michael Carter, CEO of IXI Technology.

"Due to the robustness of our specialized interface boards, rugged computer systems and test equipment, our technology is perfect for industrial applications as well," Carter says.

Since joining and then purchasing 100 percent of the company 11 months ago, Carter says he has revitalized the IXI product line with new technology at the board and systems level, releasing more than 12 new designs.

More than a third of the company's staff is dedicated to engineering high-density processors and computing, data I/O conversion, digital data links, high-definition video sensors and processing, emulation of systems, and advanced software algorithms.

The IXI board of directors now includes Roger Smith, former Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Acquisitions; Harry Halamandaris, former CEO of Litton Industries; and John Stammreich, former vice president of global strategy for Boeing.
