HARRISBURG, Pa., 23 March 2015. 2015 TE Connectivity in Harrisburg, Pa., is introducing MIL-STD-1553B printed circuit board connectors for aerospace applications that offer high-speed connectivity and reliable performance in extreme conditions and environments.

The press-fit circuit board connectors offer an electrical and mechanical connection between the connector and the circuit board that is able to help withstand mechanical abuse such as shock and vibration.

MIL-STD-1553B data bus systems have met the demanding performance requirements of military aircraft platforms for more than 30 years and are still being specified in 21st century military aircraft such as the F-35.

The circuit board connectors have a tin-plated mount connector that withstands 500 hours of salt spray exposure. They are compatible and mateable with standard data bus cable plug connectors. With an operating temperature of -65 to 125 degrees Celsius, they are also available with pin or socket contacts.
