Panel PC rugged computer for harsh-environment applications introduced by MEN Micro

BLUE BELL, Pa. 22 June 2015. MEN Micro Inc. in Blue Bell, Pa., is introducing the DC15 panel PC rugged computer for railway and other harsh-environment human machine interface (HMI) applications.

BLUE BELL, Pa. 22 June 2015. MEN Micro Inc. in Blue Bell, Pa., is introducing the DC15 panel PC rugged computer for railway and other harsh-environment human machine interface (HMI) applications.

The DC15 rugged panel PC computer has a 10.4-inch LCD display and comes with either 32 illuminated front keys or a projective, capacitive touchscreen.

Conforming to UIC 612, a standard for driver machine interfaces in railway applications, the compact panel PC has an IP65-rated housing that protects the electronics across the extended temperature range of -40 to 70 degrees Celsius. The display also is certified to EN 50155.

The 310-by-214-by-60-millimeter housing accommodates the influence-resistant XGA TFT LCD display, which has LED back lighting, a resolution of 1024-by-768 pixels and anti-glare safety glass.

Internal electronics are IP65-compliant, EN 50155 certified and prepared for coating against dust and humidity. In addition, the integrated ultra wide range power supply provides a voltage range of 14.4 to 154 volts DC with an interruption class of S2.

The DC15 uses the AMD Embedded G-Series processor, two Ethernet, a USB, an audio, a GPIO, and a serial interface. For wireless communication, such as GSM, UMTS, LTE and GPS, a PCI Express Mini Card slot also are included on the back.
