BLUE BELL, Pa. 22 June 2015. MEN Micro Inc. in Blue Bell, Pa., is introducing the DC15 panel PC rugged computer for railway and other harsh-environment human machine interface (HMI) applications.
The DC15 rugged panel PC computer has a 10.4-inch LCD display and comes with either 32 illuminated front keys or a projective, capacitive touchscreen.
Conforming to UIC 612, a standard for driver machine interfaces in railway applications, the compact panel PC has an IP65-rated housing that protects the electronics across the extended temperature range of -40 to 70 degrees Celsius. The display also is certified to EN 50155.
The 310-by-214-by-60-millimeter housing accommodates the influence-resistant XGA TFT LCD display, which has LED back lighting, a resolution of 1024-by-768 pixels and anti-glare safety glass.
Internal electronics are IP65-compliant, EN 50155 certified and prepared for coating against dust and humidity. In addition, the integrated ultra wide range power supply provides a voltage range of 14.4 to 154 volts DC with an interruption class of S2.
The DC15 uses the AMD Embedded G-Series processor, two Ethernet, a USB, an audio, a GPIO, and a serial interface. For wireless communication, such as GSM, UMTS, LTE and GPS, a PCI Express Mini Card slot also are included on the back.
