FALL RIVER, Mass., 28 July 2015. Maxon Precision Motors Inc. in Fall River, Mass., is introducing the EC 4 brushless DC motor for micropumps, analytic and diagnostic devices, laboratory robots, and other ultra-compact applications.

The EC 4 is Maxon's smallest DC brushless motor for motion control and measures 4 millimeters in diameter and comes in two different lengths. The motor is certified to ISO 13485.

The motor has power ratings of 0.5 and 1 Watts and has an ironless maxon winding for rugged design, high power density, and energy efficiency.

Combined with the GP 4 planetary gearhead, the EC 4 can adjust lenses, dispense fluids, or position sensing devices.
