Officials of the Virginia Contracting Activity in Washington, on behalf of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), announced contract awards to 50 companies for the Enhanced Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise (E-SITE) program.
Of the 50 companies winning E-SITE contracts, half are large companies and half are small companies, officials say. Each company will receive a guaranteed $500, and then will compete for individual task orders over the next five years.

The E-SITE contract will provide IT services for DIA, combatant commands, the intelligence requirements of the military services, and partner agency worldwide missions across the intelligence community.
E-SITE will provide system design, development, fielding, and sustainment of global intelligence and command and control (C2) assets vital to the security of the United States. E-SITE work will involve incident management, release and deployment management, IT operations, and quality assurance.
The purpose of the E-SITE contract is to satisfy the IT requirements for the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) Intelligence Community, and would allow for external ordering of IT services by other intelligence community partners.
The contract involves 50 companies large and small because no single contractor may be capable of providing the full range of goods and services called for. The large businesses chosen also include small businesses as team members.
