NORCROSS, Ga., 15 July 2015. OFS Fitel LLC in Norcross, Ga., is introducing the MiDia FX cable to help make optical fiber cable deployment faster and less costly, especially in locations where space is at a premium.

With optimized buffer tubes and jacket rifling for excellent air-blown installation performance using microducts, MiDia FX cable can help reduce deployment costs while also increasing capacity and fiber density in limited spaces.

In addition, by allowing providers to deploy fiber only as needed, this cable can help to defer initial investment costs while providing the flexibility needed for future technology upgrades.

MiDia FX cable is the smallest cable outer diameter in the OFS North American microcable portfolio and provides mechanical and environmental protection in compliance with Telecordia GR-20.
