SAN DIEGO, 24 Aug. 2015. The Boatracs segment of McMurdo Group in San Diego is introducing the Preparation, Response, Identification, Surveillance, Management, Acceleration (PRISMA) Connect Web-based integrated fleet management shipboard electronics that connects ship to shore in real-time.

PRISMA shipboard electronics provides for improved communications and operational efficiencies as well as increased crew productivity with two-way messaging and electronic forms capture. The system is based on Boatracs BTConnect and BTVessel software.

PRISMA Connect enables end-to-end connectivity from workstations on shore to vessels at sea, on inland waterways, or anywhere in the world. It also offers AIS plus weather for maritime domain awareness, electronic nautical charts from Transas for maritime navigation, and geofencing for compliance with protected or restricted zones.
