Jenoptik Laser Optik, Systeme GmbH in Jena, Germany, is launching a range of thermographic camera modules that can be installed wherever heat distribution patterns must be visualized or measured. The new thermographic camera modules are available from a base module of a detector with related detector electronics to custom-designed cameras with temperature calibration. Equipped with standard interfaces such as RS232, S-/C-Video or IEEE 1394 Firewire, the modules provide an image resolution of 160 by 120 pixels, 320 by 240 pixels, 384 by 288 pixels, or 640 by 480 pixels. The camera modules are prepared to cover a temperature measuring range of -40 degrees Celsius to more than 2000°C with spectral sensitivities between 1.8 and 14 microns. Compared with simple temperature sensors, the infrared modules use array detectors to record two-dimensional temperature distribution patterns in real-time. On selection of a desired temperature range, they can also visualize heat distributions of a more complex type. For more information contact Jenoptik Laser online at www.jenoptik-los.com.
