Thales Computers in Raleigh, N.C., is offering an all-in-one PCI mezzanine card, the PMC-6L, which supports commonly used interfaces required in military and aerospace applications. PMC-6L features the ARINC-429 interface with four receive and two transmit channels, MIL-STD-1553 single-redundant channel, bus controller or remote terminal, as many as six serial lines, and as many as sixteen general purpose IO (GPIO) lines. “The PMC-6L was created to fill the need for an all-in-one PMC for aircraft and military use,” said Alain Albarello, general manager. “It could be used in every airborne modular computer such as collection of flight information collection and transmission application.” Thales makes commercial and ruggedized VMEbus and CompactPCI multiprocessing solutions based on PowerPC and Pentium microprocessors.
