Condor Engineering in Santa Barbara, Calif., is extending its line of CompactPCI modules for 1553 applications. The new QcPCI-1553 interface is available in commercial, ruggedized and 3U conductively cooled versions with one, two, or four dual-redundant channels, for deployment in ruggedized military applications. Standard features include 1-megabyte of RAM per channel, 45-bit message time-tagging, front I/O with transition cabling to standard 1553 cable jacks, discretes that support avionics-level voltages, I/O triggers, extensive BC & RT link-list structures, selectable transformer/direct coupling, error injection/detection, automatic/manual RT Status Bit and Mode Code responses, along with advanced BC functionality.
