Aeroflex Inc. in Plainview, N.Y., is offering a pair of new communications service monitors, the 2945B and 2948B that will bring expanded capability and ease of use to analog radio testing. The 2945B and 2948B are rugged, weigh less than 25 pounds, include a spectrum analyzer, a tracking generator with full offset tracking, and can measure power to 150 watts. They have a frequency range from 400 kHz to 1.05 GHz, and a low phase noise signal generator. Options can expand the testing capability for radio service and maintenance, base station service and maintenance, and manufacturing test. Key new capabilities include LTR (Logic Trunked Radio), tracking generator isolation, RF generator, audio and demodulation filters, internal battery, sunlight-readable transflective color display, and extension to the tones capability.
