The Titan Corp Advanced Products & Design Division in San Diego is offering the VideoScout portable commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) intelligent video system that helps field deployed personnel turn video data generated from land, air, or marine unmanned vehicles (UVs) into actionable video intelligence, and then easily transmit it to those who need it most. Quickly moving video data UVs and turning it into video intelligence, is essential to improving decision-making up and down the military chain of command, company officials say. VideoScout captures incoming video data from UVs such as the Predator, Scan Eagle, and Raven, along with system-generated metadata such as Global Positioning System (GPS) altitude, time/date, etc. While viewing video, users can select snapshots, annotate them, and create condensed video files and clips in real-time, without destroying the original video. Still images, clips, or the entire video can be stored locally, viewed, transmitted and shared across a physical or wireless network, and fully indexed for subsequent search and retrieval. VideoScout’s DVR capabilities allow users to reverse the video in slow motion while encoding. VideoScout includes Titan’s VigraWATCH video and image processing board to capture, compress, decompress, and process large amounts of analog and digital video data.
