General Micro Systems (GMS) in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., is offering the V169-FPIO, a VME 64 single-board computer based on the Pentium M microprocessor. The board offers front-panel I/O access, and is for military and aerospace systems integrators who are interested in upgrading PowerPC and Sun SPARC embedded computer systems with the late-model Intel architecture. The V169 operates as speeds as fast as 2 GHz, uses 18 watts of power, 2 megabytes of cache memory, 4 gigabytes of RAM, and several I/O, networking, graphics, and mass storage options.
