AVX Corp. in Myrtle Beach, Calif., is offering the GZ capacitor series to address DC blocking issues from 15 KHz to 400 GHz in optical transceivers. The technology is designed to match 0.015- to 0.020-inch microstrip widths. The assemblies combine high-capacitance Ni-Au terminated MLCs for low frequency coverage. Most applications will have resonance-free performance of less than 0.5 decibels through at least 26.5 GHz, company officials say. Custom designs, including those to match wider strip lines, are available on request. For more information contact AVX Corp. online at www.avx.com.
