The TMC-7DSP/6DSP color machine-vision camera from JAI PULNiX Inc. in San Jose, Calif., offers high-performance digital signal processing (DSP). The camera features a Sony imager (ICX418AKL NTSC, ICX419ALK PAL) in a high-resolution 1/2-inch CCD format and operates at 768-by-494-pixel resolution. The camera outputs VBS, Y/C, or S-Video, and offers RGB, and TTL (through-the-lens) auto/manual white balance. Low-light sensitivity is 2 lux at F1.4. Available shutter speeds range from 1/60 to 1/10,000 second (programmable). Auto exposure to vary the electronic shutter rate internally is a standard feature. The TMC-7DSP/6DSP accepts external HD-VD or composite sync. A mini-cylindrical remote-head version (with 1-meter separation) is available for both models. The TMC-7DSP/6DSP is suitable for applications including machine vision, teleconferencing, airborne imaging, object recognition and medical systems.
