Discovery Technology International LLLP in Sarasota, Fla., is offering the RoboMate positioner, a precision desktop-size combined angular-linear motorized nanopositioning system. The design allows tools such as probes, sensors, fiber-optics, lasers, and lenses to position precisely at variable angles with respect to a target sample. Virtual Point technology enables the tip of the tool to remain fixed at a specific point while its angle of approach varies continuously. The functional design incorporates advanced proprietary rotary piezoelectric motor technology and a linear stage, all driven by a digital signal processor (DSP). Control over angular and linear movement is from either a joystick or Windows2000/XP graphic user interface. Key features include, -90- to +70-degree angular range and variable angular-linear speed.
