Aitech Defense Systems in Chatsworth, Calif., is adding two boards to its rugged VME64x-compliant C10x single-board computer family. The 1-GHz c101L uses the low-power version of the MPC 7457 PowerPC processor, while the 1-GHz C106L uses the 7447A PowerPC processor, which promises power use of less than 22 watts. The embedded computers offer expanded I/O capabilities and powerful processing in harsh environments such as military mission computers, remotely piloted vehicles, fire-control processing, platform stabilization, and mission control.
