Green Hills Software in Santa Barbara, Calif., is offering the company’s Integrity real-time operating-system support for the BAE Systems RAD750 radiation-hardened PowerPC processor and CompactPCI single-board computer.

Green Hills Software in Santa Barbara, Calif., is offering the company’s Integrity real-time operating-system support for the BAE Systems RAD750 radiation-hardened PowerPC processor and CompactPCI single-board computer. “We selected Integrity because of its proven heritage in mission critical systems as well as its integration with Green Hills Software’s powerful MULTI IDE tool set,” commented Dave Stofko, Flight Systems Software Manager, Space Systems/Loral. “Coupled with the latest radiation-hardened hardware, this solution represents the state-of-the-art in space-based-device software platforms.” The Integrity real-time operating system is for mission-critical systems. The RAD750 microprocessor is a radiation-hardened version of the IBM PowerPC 750. The RAD750 is a 3rd generation microprocessor, with almost 10 times the performance of current space processors, and is the follow-on to BAE System’s space-proven RAD6000 family.
