ACT/Technico in Warminster, Pa., is offering a rugged 3U CompactPCI Gigabit Ethernet switch that enables management via an on-board processor. The 661× series of switches are for a wide variety of embedded network switching applications such as ground-mobile, shipboard, airborne, and homeland security. The nonblocking full-wire-speed switches offer nine auto-sensing ports including quality of service with four traffic classes, IPv4, and IPv6 layer 2/3 protocols. The switches all provide seamless network management accessible from a browser, PC, local console, or SNMP, company officials say. These devices come in three temperature grades, including conduction cooling for harsh environments. For more information contact ACT/Technico online at www.acttechnico.com.
