MGR Industries in Fort Collins, Colo., is offering the APC Technology FT2255 industrial touch-screen computer, which is a sealed 15-inch personal computer for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. The computer’s stainless steel case has a Roxtec gland system and is sealed according to guidelines of IP66. It can withstand spray washing and environments with a high concentration of airborne particulates. The FT2255 near-field-imaging (NFI) touch screen, which has a hardened glass face, enables gloved operation. The computer operates in temperatures from -10 to 55 degrees Celsius, and has an Intel Centrino Pentium M microprocessors. Also included are 256 megabytes of memory, a 60-gigabyte 5.5-inch hard disk, three serial, one parallel, two USB, two LAN, and PS/2 keyboard/mouse/I/O ports.
