The U.S. Air Force has entered into a six-year contract worth as much as $95 million with Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for the support of several training systems.
Rockwell Collins is responsible for concurrency updates, training modifications, and support of the Air Force’s B-1B strategic bomber training system. The company will provide support of five weapons system trainers, two mission trainers, five cockpit procedure trainers, and 18 maintenance trainers for the Air Force.
Since 1999, NLX had provided services to the B-1B training program, which came up for recompetition this year. NLX was purchased by Rockwell Collins in 2003. For more information, visit www.rockwellcollins.com.
