GE Fanuc Embedded Systems in Charlottesville, Va., is offering the PC8 All-In-One computer for industrial, transportation, and medical applications. The PC8 features an Intel Celeron M processor operating at speeds as fast as 1.5 GHz, and with one gigabyte of DDR memory in an EMI-protected metal housing that supports DINrail mounting. The computer has three PC/104+ slots, with an option for a CANbus interface. Fanless operation is available using a 600 MHz Intel Celeron processor; users can configure two of the PC8’s serial I/O ports as RS232/422 ports or with optical isolation. A 2.5-inch hard disk or Flash drive is available. The PC8 also provides a DVI-D interface via PanelLink with resolutions as fine as 1,600 by 1,200 pixels, two Fast Ethernet ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and a parallel port.
