Officials in the Japanese government are ramping up the country’s security. One of the ways they are doing so is through increased investment in explosives detection technology.

Japanese government officials, in their continuing security efforts, have selected handheld explosives detectors from Implant Sciences Corp. in Wakefield, Mass. They have purchased and received 26 Quantum Sniffer H-150 handheld explosives detectors from Implant Sciences Corp. to date.

This order represents the first significant installation of Implant Sciences’ explosive detectors in the Japanese marketplace, says Phillip C. Thomas, president and CEO.
