Schaefer Inc. in Ashland, Mass., is offering the AEP-1000R series of ultracompact, 1U rack-mount inverters that provide 1 kilovolt-ampere of pure sine-wave AC power from a DC source. A pure sine wave offers clean power for powering sensitive or highly inductive/highly capacitive loads and for improving AC equipment performance. Low electromagnetic interference levels allow for usage with minimum interference to other equipment such as TVs or sensitive navigational instruments. The AEP-1000R series features an integrated utility bypass and is built to provide dependable AC power. The AEP-1000R series is suited for industrial, office/residential, and recreational use. The rugged 1U rack-mount design and -30 to 60 degrees Celsius operating temperature is applicable even to the most extreme mobile, military, or marine environments, company officials say. Applications include power supplies, test equipment, communications equipment, factory automation equipment, field-portable instrumentation, remote facility power, computers, networking equipment, telecom equipment, tools, and air compressors.
