North Atlantic Industries (NAI) in Bohemia, N.Y., is offering an improved single-slot, 2-module, multifunction, 3U cPCI card that eliminates the complexity and size constraints of using multiple, independent, single-function cards. The 75C2 cPCI card, which extends the capability of the earlier 75C1, can include the functions of synchro/resolver measurement (4-channels), VDT measurement (4-channels), A-D (10-channels), D-A (10-channels), function generator (4-channels), discrete I/O (16-channels), TTL I/O (16-channels), transceiver I/O (11-channels), and RTD (6-channels). The 75C2 is for military and commercial programs, including airborne, shipboard, ground mobile and C3I applications. Its interchangeable modules increase functional density, and reduce power consumption, size, and cost of the overall system. The interchangeable multifunction design of the 75C2 provides diagnostics and is available in commercial temperature range and severe-environment industrial temperature range. The library of module types and functions consist of more than 16 modules and is growing. For increased flexibility, each of the functions of the 75C2 is programmable at the channel level. Continuous background testing is performed on all functions and channels. This testing is transparent to the user, requires no programming, and does not interfere with the normal operation of the card. The 75C2 is available with operating temperature ranges of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius and 0°C to 70°C. Conduction-cooled versions with wedgelocks are also available.
