Themis unveils 2RU and 3RU dual-core processor servers for demanding environments

Themis Computer in Fremont, Calif., is announcing four 2RU and 3RU dual-core AMD Opteron- and dual-core Intel Xeon-based servers for mission-critical applications.

Themis Computer in Fremont, Calif., is announcing four 2RU and 3RU dual-core AMD Opteron- and dual-core Intel Xeon-based servers for mission-critical applications. The Rugged Enterprise Servers (RES) have Themis’ proprietary thermal and mechanical design, and can withstand shock loads as strong as 25 Gs. All of Themis’s servers support the Linux, Sun Solaris, and Windows operating systems. The RES-22DCO and the RES-32DCO servers may be configured with one or two dual-core Opteron-series 2000 processors, AMD’s exclusive Direct Connect Architecture, Hyper Transport technology, Simultaneous 32- and 64-bit computing, and AMD PowerNow technology. The RES-22DCO and RES-32DCO expand by adding commercially available, off the shelf networking cards, graphics, I/O, peripherals, and other options.
