Amphenol Industrial in Sidney, N.Y., is introducing a 5015-style, reverse-bayonet coupling connector series called the Amphe-Power GT with audible, tactile, and visual indication of attachment. The GT connectors offer a coupling cover for damage protection and gripping for harsh-environment applications like military functions, wind power generation, and agricultural appliances. The GT series features more than 12 different shell styles; high shock and vibration resistance; and a rugged, waterproof construction to IP67. The reverse-bayonet coupling allows for at least 2,000 matings in the field without extra tools via a quarter-turn mechanism. Options include solder or crimp termination, gold- or silver-plated contacts, military or commercial finishes, Neoprene or Viton inserts in addition to low-smoke/flame-retardant inserts, a set of back-end fittings, aluminum or stainless-steel components, and more than 250 layouts. Amphe-Power GT connectors are interchangeable with Veam-style connectors. Neoprene and low-smoke/flame-retardant inserts have an operating range of -55 to more than 125 degrees Celsius, while the Viton inserts exceed that range by operating from -50 to more than 200 C.
