Curtiss-Wright offers PMC module with either air- or conduction-cooling

Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing in Leesburg, Va., is introducing the PMC-110 CryptoNet Security processor PCI mezzanine card (PMC), which is based on the Freescale MPC8555E PowerQUICC III processor for embedded security applications. The device is available in air-cooled and conduction-cooled versions, and has on-board firewall, intrusion Detection, network address translation (NAT), IPSec, and hardware-enabled cryptographic engines. The PMC-110 helps system designers to add network security to VME, VPX, CompactPCI, and other host embedded boards that provide a PMC site. It has Freescale’s 667 MHz MPC8555E PowerQUICC III processor with 256-megabyte DDR1 with ECC, 256-megabyte boot flash, 2 x 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet ports, 1 x RS232 serial port, COP interface, I2C interface, and a 64-bit 66 MHz PCI bus. The Statefull firewall can be used to protect against various network attacks such as Denial of Services (DoS). Cryptography, provided by the security engines on the Freescale MPC8555E processor, can be used for encryption/decryption to protect data using algorithms such as AES-256, 3DES.
