AdvancedIO Systems in Vancouver, British Columbia, is introducing the V1021 configurable 10-Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and packet processing XMC/PMC module. The module integrates SFP+ 10-gigabit optical transceiver technology, as well as provides high bandwidth data-pipe performance and flexible processing functionality in one chassis slot. This can enable system developers in real-time applications such as radar, signals intelligence, and sensor processing to pack more functionality into a system while reducing its size and cost. AdvancedIO’s V1021 is an open-standard form factor module that connects real-time embedded systems to extreme high-speed Ethernet networks—a problem many liken to drinking from a fire hose, company officials say. The V1021 also can function as a high-speed pipe to connect embedded processing systems. Features include standard VITA 42.3 XMC/PMC mezzanine module; standard PCI-X and PCI Express host interfaces; SFP+ 10-Gigabit Ethernet optical transceiver technology; customizable functionality via Xilinx FPGA; compatible optimized udpXG communications protocol; and standard sockets-based software API.
