Data Device Corp. (DDC) in Bohemia, N.Y., is introducing an updated version of its dataMARS software package for the BU-65590/91U MIL-STD-1553/ARINC 429 USB devices for avionics bus monitoring and post-analysis. “The pairing of the BU-65590/91U and dataMARS Software Analysis suite creates a powerful combination for portable and lab avionics bus analysis and flight line recording,” says Mike Hegarty, DDC’s MIL-STD-1553 marketing manager. The dataMARS product provides monitoring capability through real-time displays and triggers, and post-analysis capability using recorded data replay, reports, and search functionality. Applications include bus or network analysis, automatic test equipment, production testing, systems integration, troubleshooting, and data recording. Users can import interface control documents (ICD) to enable automatic, real-time conversions of raw data to applicable engineering units, resulting in graphical views of communication data. The BU-65590U is for MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC 429 data bus systems as a common tool for use in field service, flight line test equipment, and flight instrumentation applications, while the USB interface links the device with desktop, laptop, or tablet computers.
