ITT Interconnect Solutions in Santa Ana, Calif., is introducing its miniature circular connectors called the MIKQ IP68 series. The new series of connectors is designed to withstand high-pressure operating conditions in tactical communications and control systems, imaging systems, and television camera equipment. The connectors meet IP68 standards and feature a contact system that adheres to a sealant material while maintaining 0.050 contact spacing. “The MIKQ IP68 miniature circular connectors were developed in response to customer requests for harsh environment connectors that provide higher-rated sealing processes in the same physical footprint as the original MIKQ connectors,” describes Keith Teichmann, director of marketing for ITT Interconnect Solutions.

“By employing sealing materials and a contact design, we were able to meet our customers’ needs with a device rated up to 5 PSI.” All insulator and contact areas within the MIKQ IP68 connectors are sealed against environmental elements. The 37-pin connectors feature a twist pin contact system with standard crimp contact wire terminations. The connector is housed in a brass metal shell and features crimped gold-plated contacts. Secure connector mating is achieved with a push-pull coupling mechanism. For more information, visit ITT Interconnect Solutions online at www.ittcannon.com.
