Parvus Corp. in Salt Lake City announces the availability of the DuraCOR 820, an ultra-small tactical mission rugged military computer measuring less than 3.0 inches in height and 3.0 pounds in weight. Qualified to MIL-STD-810F environmental specifications (altitude, thermal, shock, vibration, humidity) and available as military commercial off the shelf (COTS), the DuraCOR 820 is well suited for size, weight, and power (SWaP)-conscious manned and unmanned vehicle electronics. Designed for military and aerospace ground mobile and airborne deployments, the DuraCOR 820 features a conductively cooled 1.4GHz Intel Pentium-M processor and solid-state disk pre-loaded with a Linux or Windows XP Embedded operating system. This corrosion/splash-resistant unit is qualified to reliably operate in ambient temperatures of -40 to 71 degrees Celsius, 15G operating shock, 95 percent humidity, 60,000 feet altitude, and aircraft/helicopter vibration profiles.
