Optima EPS in Tucker, Ga., is introducing a rugged enclosure for electronics called the rugged command and communication console for military applications, as well as for aerospace technology applications, mobile broadcast, homeland security, and emergency services. Optima EPS, an Elma Company that specializes in cabinet enclosures for electronic systems, bases the rugged command and communication console on standard modules that can be modified to suit different applications and give access to information in command and control systems. The design of Optima’s consoles accommodates typical floor layout requirements: straight, L, or U-shaped styles. A writing desk is optional, as are removable side, rear, and top panels.
