New MIL-STD 810 Revision H Environmental Testing at D.L.S.

April 22, 2022

MIL-STD 810 has been updated to Revision H, which references a series of minimum test conditions with specific categories and applicable test procedures for military equipment and systems. MIL-STD 810 was developed to provide a laboratory means of determining the performance characteristics of military based equipment under environmental, climatic and mechanical stress conditions representative of those which may be encountered in actual and intended use during the operation of equipment.

Currently, D.L.S. provides support for the MIL-STD 810 Rev E though H environmental suite of tests, including the following test conditions: Temperatures Extremes, Vibration and Shock, Chemical and Fluid Resistance, Salt Spray, Sand and Dust, Solar, Icing, Rain, Hail, Explosive Atmosphere, Humidity, Altitude, and combined environments Temperature, Humidity, Vibration, & Altitude.

These tests are often performed in addition to EMI related tests found in MIL STD 461 or Power Quality Tests found in MIL STD 704, MIL STD 1399, and MIL STD 1275, which D.L.S. can also support in a streamlined process.
